Located between Ugab and the Huab River in the south of Damaraland, Mowani Mountain Lodge is set in endless untouched wilderness with fascinating desert landscapes. Since it is built into the rock, it is difficult to spot it from a distance.
Rare desert-dwelling elephants that have adapted to the conditions over the years, springboks, spitboks and jackals traverse the landscapes around Mowani Mountain Lodge. These animals were carved thousands of years ago in the nearby stones at Twyfelfontein, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

At Mowani, picturesque desert impressions, extraordinary geological formations, archaeological attractions and a great variety of desert flora and fauna combine to create a unique combination. Here are the lounge and the restaurant, where the delicious meals of a varied cuisine are enjoyed.
Of course, your physical well-being is also taken care of at the lodge. In the restaurant, open bar and lounge you can get snacks, drinks and hot meals to satisfy your hunger. Here, too, the architecture is modeled on that of African villages, making you feel like you're at home with the locals.
