Martinhal Sagres Beach Family Resort nestles right on the beach, on the edge of the national park, Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, near the historic town of Sagres. The luxury resort of the “Martinhal” hotel chain boasts renowned architecture by Conran & Partners. It blends harmoniously into the untouched nature of the western Algarve with its soft colors and organic structures.

You’ll find the main reception for Martinhal Village residents at the village square where you can use free internet. There’s a kids’ playground and the Raposinhos Kids Club for younger guests. The Blue Room is a leisure club for teenagers, equipped with Playstation, Wii, a pool table, and foosball. The hotel also offers spacious indoor and outdoor pools, an extra pool for children, a sauna, a steam bath, and a modern fitness center. The gourmet supermarket O Mercado offers regional wines and freshly prepared takeaway meals.

Child care: children will not be bored when visiting Martinhal Sagres Beach Family Resort. Raposinhos Club tailors to the needs of children, whether they are active, playful, or full of curiosity. A separate crèche is available for the little ones between 6 and 23 months old. In the Kids Club, children between one and four can play, romp, and make new friends between 09:30 and 18:00.

The hotel has 38 well-equipped rooms with a private atmosphere, either with a terrace or sun balcony for a breathtaking view of the bay, two spacious duplex beach suites, and a fantastic view of the Atlantic. The rooms are tastefully designed and spread across 170 residential units.

Beach Room Partial Sea View (approx. 34 m²) and Terrace & Beach Room Full Sea View (approx. 37 m²) have the following amenities: bathroom/toilet (with slippers, bathrobe, and hairdryer), air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, WiFi (free of charge), Apple docking station, minibar and Nespresso machine (soft drinks, water, and pads free of charge), safe, balcony or terrace, some with a direct or partial sea view.

Beach Suite (approx. 50 m²) has a separate bedroom on the 1st floor and a sun terrace.

Martinhal Village:

One-Bedroom Apartment (approx. 80 m² incl. balcony or garden terrace, up to 2 people), living/dining room, one bedroom, bath/toilet (with hairdryer), kitchen (including microwave, washing machine, and dishwasher), air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, WiFi (free of charge), Apple docking station, safe, balcony or terrace.

Grand Deluxe House or Master Deluxe House (approx. 115-130 m², up to 4/6 people): 1 or 2 additional bedrooms and 1-2 bathrooms/toilet, villa as ‘Garden House’ or ‘Bay House’ (view of the bay ), or ‘Ocean House’ (sea view).

Pool villa ‘Pinewood House’ (approx. 115-130 m², up to 4/6 people) on the edge of a pine forest but detached with 2 or 3 bedrooms, 2-3 bathrooms, and a private pool.

The Beach Club is right above the beach, where you can sunbathe, relax in the pool, and enjoy drinks and snacks.

You will also get your money’s worth in culinary delights at Martinhal Beach Resort & Hotel. At the gourmet O Terraço, they reinvent traditional Portuguese cuisine with great ingenuity. In addition, its glass walls offer fantastic views of Martinhal Bay as you sip on one of their many Portuguese wines. As Dunas beach restaurant serves freshly caught fish and the best seafood prepared daily in a stylish, relaxed atmosphere. At the café bistro Os Gambozinos, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The village square has wood-fired oven pizza and other snacks to order.

Club 98, on the northern edge of the resort, offers a variety of exercise options with a swimming pool, two tennis courts, two paddleball courts, and a multi-purpose court. Windsurfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, mountain biking, diving, climbing, trekking, parasailing, horseback riding, fishing, yoga, tai chi, and eco-karting are also available. Last but not least, the Algarve is a golfing paradise!

The resort also provides equipment for windsurfing and other water sports upon request. You can also go on a boat trip, watch dolphins, or explore the unspoiled nature around Sagres on foot, horseback, mountain bike, or motorbike.

Finisterra Spa is in the heart of the resort and is a place to relax your body, mind, and soul with massages, beauty rituals, and wellness treatments. They only use products from the exclusive spa brands, Terraké and the 100 percent organic brand Voya. Beautiful gardens surround this wellness oasis with six treatment rooms, a sauna, and a Turkish bath.
