Guided Horseback Ride

Explore the most stunning corners of La Réunion on horseback!

On a three-hour horseback ride, you will discover the island’s magical sides. An experienced guide will lead you along the natural paths with your group of min. four people and max. fourteen people. Choose your ending destination with your guide.

We recommend that you travel around the Grand Etang, the largest lake on the island. Embedded between the mountains in the deep green outback of Saint-Benôit, the lake is around 525 m high. The shore stretches for about 7 km and is often muddy during the rainy season. Therefore, it’s difficult to travel on foot during this time. A horseback ride is perfect during these times because simultaneously relaxed and adventurous.

The northern lava stream from the Piton de la Fournaise formed the Grand Etang when it disrupted the inlet. The Grand Etang is popular among botanists and ornithologists because it’s difficult to reach and nearly untouched by humans. The nature reserve hosts a panoply of unique, endemic bird and plant species.
