Explore Mandalay on a bike

Get to know the rural surroundings of Mandalay with a bike!

Together with your guide you will leave Mandalay early in the morning. The journey to the outskirts of Mandalay will take place on seldom unused, quiet roads along rice fields and small villages.

First you will visit a local market, where you will find a lot of fruits, vegetables, and local products traded early in the morning. Stroll through the market and take the time to negotiate with the sellers or just take some photos.

Afterwards, you will continue east to the foot of the pilgrimage site known as Yankin Hill. From there your journey will take you through shady avenues, along many monasteries, temples, and schools. Take in the daily life of the monks and school children.

Finally, you will reach the Yeh Dagon Hill meditation site. From above you have a unique view of the surrounding countryside. The return journey features sunflower, rice, and sugar fields. Shortly before Mandalay you will pass a small village that is famous for its production of traditional paper umbrellas.

Total route: 20 to 30 kilometers. It can customized according to your physical fitness levels.
