Explore dry Halong Bay by bike

After breakfast, drive to Dry Halong Bay on the delta of the Red River towards Ninh Binh. The first starting point is Trang An, only about 5 km from Tam Coc National Park. Here is a small landing stage with a few Sampan rowing boats in which the national park and several caves can be explored. Dry Halong Bay consists of sugar loaf mountains in a maze of little rivers. The rowing boats are usually propelled by women and pass through large karst stone caves several times. Trang An is particularly exciting with several narrow channels in the caves, away from other tourist boat docks.

You will eat lunch at a local restaurant.

After the boat trip, go for a bike ride (3- 8km depending on your preference) About three kilometres from Tam Coc National Park is Bich Dong Pagoda. A steep path leads from the pagoda to the green grotto. Here the visitor is offered an incomparable view of the sea of green rice fields from which the sugar loaf mountains grow.

You will return to Hanoi by car.
