For centuries, Patagonia was the end of the known world. Located at the southernmost corner of South America, Torres del Paine National Park is made up of two geographic zones: the Pampa and the Patagonian Andes. About 400 birds and 60 mammal species, amphibians, fish and reptiles are all located in this special part of the world. Because of its beauty and biodiversity, the national park was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978 for its geological phenomenon.
Opened in 1993, this was the first hotel project of the Explora group. Its location, in the middle of the national park and right on Lake Pehoé, has views of two of the three towers of the Paine mountains. The territory of the lodge covers almost three hectares of land.
The dishes at Explora Patagonia are designed to give guests enough energy to explore, and yet not leave you so full that you are unable to perform various activities. Bringing you pure flavors from quality ingredients, they stick to their motto of bringing out the best of each product. Also, try a delicious liquor or Chilean wine at the Explorer’s Bar.
