Description

Unspoiled landscapes, clean air, and soothing hot springs... Cilaos is an experience for all your senses.

The mountain village is the starting point for walks in the surrounding mountains and for climbing the Piton des Neiges, the highest mountain of the island (at 10,072.18 ft), and the highest peak in the Indian Ocean. Cilaos is particularly famous for its hot springs and thermal baths, spectacular hiking trails, breathtaking canyoning gorges, and the only French vineyards in the southern hemisphere.

But aside from its natural wonders, Cilaos is also a cultural treasure trove. The originality of its inhabitants and its culinary specialties make it a place like no other.

Your day starts very early this morning. You will leave the hotel sometime between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM toward the south.

The first stop brings you south of St. Leu to a souffleur - a geyser. The journey continues through the St. Louis region. You will pass a sugar cane factory, a mosque, a Hindu temple, and beautiful mountainous landscapes lined with typical Creole houses and lush gardens. We guarantee stunning views here.

Sit back and enjoy the enchanting surroundings: the picturesque villages of Peter Both and Palmiste Rouge, steep rocky landscapes and lush green mountain peaks. Finally, enjoy the charming town of Cilaos.
