Hike through one of the first national parks in Malaysia
7 ecosystems
Home to many animal and plant species
Spanning 27 square kilometers, Bako National Park is one of the oldest in Malaysia. On this experience, departing from Kuching (an approx. 1-hour-long car and boat trip), you will experience an incomparable variety of species.
Bako is home to 7 distinct ecosystems and, consequently, to a unique number of different plant and animal species. The most famous inhabitant of the park is probably the Proboscis monkey. These small, long nosed monkeys only live in Borneo and gather in small groups. You will also find various species of langurs, macaques, and giant lizards.
Go on a hike through the park with your experienced guide. Lunch will be served at the headquarters. But be careful: Protect your belongings from the cheeky macaques.
Duration of the trip: All day
Orangutans’ last wild habitats are only in Sumatra and Borneo.
