The Bako National Park is one of the oldest in Malaysia. The 27km² large area awaits the astonished visitors after an almost 1-hour car and boat trip from Kuching with an incomparable biodiversity.
Bako is home to 7 distinct ecosystems and thus a unique number of different plant and animal species. The most famous inhabitant of the park is probably the proboscis monkey. These little monkeys with their long noses live only on Borneo and exist in small groups. In addition, you will find various langur species, macaques and giant lizards. Join in with your experienced guide on a hike through the park. Lunch will be served at the headquarters. But beware: Here you should protect your belongings from the cheeky macaques.
