1 night with breakfast in Jawa Tengah, Java.

After an invigorating and, above all, healthy breakfast, you will set out today to explore the most important sight in Java. The unique, mystical atmosphere at Borobudur Temple will remain in your memory for a long time. Buddha is omnipresent here. Devout pilgrims seek and find enlightenment here, giving visitors a sense of peace and contentment.

Overgrown jungle and the traces of several volcanic eruptions buried the most important Buddhist sanctuary in the world for centuries. Today, the complex looks like a spaceship from a distance, providing a glimpse not only of Buddha's life, but also that of the local people.

After an extensive visit, you will continue to the stupa restaurant, where you will be served a unique lunch.

In the afternoon, you will proceed toward Yoygyakarta, to your hotel.

1 night stay with breakfast and lunch in Yogyakarta, Java

Learn more about the history and cultural traditions of Yogya. You will start with a visit to the Sultan's Palace, popularly known as the "Kraton". This building, built between 1756 -1790, is a fine example of traditional Javanese Sultanate architecture. During a guided tour of the various rooms and chambers, you will learn interesting facts about the Javanese culture and heritage. Proceed to the neighboring Taman Sari, water palace and garden. This is part of the royal complex and was built over 200 years ago by the first Sultan as a bathing pool for his harem.

Lunch will be served afterwards at Bale Rao's restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will drive 17 km to the outskirts of Jogjakarta to visit the sanctuaries of Prambanan. The temples for the gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva are among the most beautiful and valuable in Hinduism. They were built in the 9th century and have been under the protection of UNESCO World Heritage since 1991. This temple complex belongs to the kingdom of Mataram. The kings of Mataram wanted to outdo the temple complex of Borobudur with the construction of Prambanan and even had the Opak river diverted for it to make room for the architectural legacy. Continue to Plaosan, a less visited temple.
