About your experience

Today you will be picked up from the Wellington i-SITE Tourist Information Center and transported to the famous Weta Studios in Miramar. After you have been welcomed by a workshop staff member, your tour of the workshop's sacred halls will begin. Here you will learn first-hand how film props, masks, and set models from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and other major Hollywood movies, such as Avatar and The Hobbit, were created. Just the right thing for all movie fans! Afterwards you will see the world-famous movies with different eyes.
