Enjoy breathtaking views over the Atlas Mountains from the plateau, insights into Berber culture, Moroccan nature with its many facets, and much more on this round trip around the Toubkal. Let us take you to this stunning, magical place and enchant you with the uniqueness of the mountains.
When you step off the plane in Marrakech, you will experience the warmth of Moroccan culture from the very first moments. Enjoy the exclusive fast track service with lounge access and personal assistance so you can start your Morocco vacation relaxed.
Just 15 minutes from the airport is your first accommodation, the Villa des Orangers. This traditional riad, a Moroccan house with a garden, offers an oasis to relax in the bustling city of Marrakech. Its particularly central location puts you within walking distance of the royal palace and the popular Djemaa El Fna, the central marketplace. Use the rest of your first day to get a first impression of Marrakech by strolling through the streets.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
1 night at La Villa des Orangers in a luxury room, dinner included.
Start the day well-fed and keep your camera handy, because your exciting tour through Morocco's Atlas Mountains starts today. With your rental car, your driver will take you to your first stop: The Dam of Lalla Takerkoust, which is just 35 minutes away. Located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, this dam was built between 1929 and 1935 and provides additional electricity to the city of Marrakech. Sit back for a moment and enjoy the view or cool off in the water, where you can also practice water sports (it is particularly popular for that reason), before the exciting tour continues.
The next stop on the itinerary is the Kik Plateau. With a beautiful view along the Nfis River, passing the breathtaking panorama of the Atlas Mountains, take the paths that lead you past numerous Berber villages. After a short drive, you will reach the Kik Plateau near Asni, from where you will have an indescribable view of the plains with the massive waterbed of the dam and the impressive mountain ranges of the Atlas Mountains. Pull out your camera and capture this contrasting image of the Moroccan landscape.
Continue to Imlil, a small mountain village in the center of the High Atlas, passing many small Berber villages ever higher into the Atlas Mountains. This village is the starting point for many hiking tours to the Toubkal that last several days. From now on, however, you will only have to walk about 700 meters to the Kasbah du Toubkal, where lunch will be waiting for you. Decide for yourself whether you want to conquer this path on foot or by riding a mule - a breathtaking view at the top awaits you either way.
A traditional lunch will be served at the Berber Hall or on the panoramic terrace so you can replenish your energy. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking view of Toubkal's summit, towering at 4100 meters.
After your stay, take advantage of the rest of the free day at the Kasbah Tamadot, which belongs to billionaire Richard Branson. It is one of the noblest hotels in North Africa and promises exclusive nights. End the evening with dinner and immerse yourself in the particularly exquisite atmosphere.
1 night stay at Kasbah Tamadot in a superior room - breakfast, lunch and dinner included
Well rested, today you will proceed with your discovery tour at Toubkal. Imlil will be your starting point for further excursions again. From here, the guide will recommend you some tours through the villages in the valley, where terraced fields with types of cereals make for a popular photo stop. Learn where the famous argan oil comes from, how it is produced and what it is used for.
To round off your stay and fill you up with even more local culture, enjoy a traditional lunch with a Berber family in Imlil. Listen to the stories of the Berber families about everyday life and living in the middle of the Atlas Mountains. Immerse yourself in the culture of Morocco. Today will be full of new experiences that you will not forget anytime soon.
You will return to Kasbah Tamadot in the afternoon, where you can once again enjoy your dinner amid Kanoun Restaurant’s impressive, luxurious atmosphere. Don’t forget to take a moment to reflect on the day and what you have experienced.
1 night stay at Kasbah Tamadot in a superior room with breakfast, lunch and dinner included
To round off your stay, the Ourika Valley, located in the Atlas Mountains, awaits you today after a short drive. Here you will have the entire day to get to know Moroccan cuisine better, because the valley is home to the Ourika Organic Aromatic Garden. As the name suggests, here you will find a wide range of plants and herbs that give off their very special scent. A visit here will bring you closer to the combination of spectacular nature and the traditional life of the people in the mountain region. The Ourika Organic Aromatic Garden makes people aware of the importance of Mother Earth and shows that planting without pesticides is possible. During numerous activities, visitors learn more about the plants that grow here.
At noon, a leisurely lunch awaits you, prepared with vegetables and herbs from the garden, of course.
Take advantage of the day to participate in a workshop specializing in either bread making or Moroccan cuisine. Learn more about the effects of herbs on the body, learn about traditional baking methods, and breathe in the myriad of different scents that the garden exudes.
If you have opted for the 4-day trip, you will be transported back to Marrakech in the afternoon in order to start your journey home.
If you have opted for the longer trip, however, your next destination is Amizmiz. The town is not known for many attractions and does not offer any museums or monuments. However, it has made a name for itself as a popular stopover. From Amizmiz, you can get the best views of the mountain ranges. Take breathtaking photos of your beautiful surroundings.
After your short stop here, the rest of the drive will take you to your last hotel of the trip - the Capaldi Hotel, built in the style of an old riad with an atrium. Enjoy your last evening at the hotel on the terrace overlooking the amazing Atlas Mountains and review your latest impressions. What was your personal highlight? Did the time fly by for you as well?
1 night at The Capaldi Hotel in a Farm House Room with terrace - breakfast, lunch and dinner included
Before you know it, you will be back in the car after breakfast, on your way back to Marrakech. We hope that you will return home feeling your life has been enriched by the many experiences you had on this trip and that you won’t forget this vacation anytime soon. Enjoy the last views of Morocco from the window as you slowly approach Marrakech again.
