Destinations

Rio Celeste and Tenorio Volcano Hike

According to legend, after painting the sky in blue, God washed out the brushes in a river. This river was then called Rio Celeste, which means "celeste river". You will be picked up by a driver in the lodge at 8 clock and then taken to the park. Once there, you will wander through the forest with its wet ecosystem, variety of animals and voluptuous plant world that reaches unimaginable heights. Can you see the roots proliferating over the sidewalk and stop the mud masses? Stroll along the paths that lead you through the park until you reach the rushing waterfall Rio Celeste. Take a moment to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and listen to the thunderous waters. The waterfall sprays a fine mist onto everything in its immediate vicinity. A few feet further you will find the river, deemed the most beautiful place by most visitors. Here, the water turns into the color that gives the river its name.
