Adventure at Mombacho Volcano

This exciting day trip begins with the transfer from your hotel to the Mombacho Volcano Reserve. At the foot of the volcano, you will change vehicles, as a four-wheel drive vehicle is required for the trip up the mountain.

You will start your adventure with an educational hike. You will meet the park rangers who will provide you with interesting background information about the nature reserve. The trails will lead you along the volcano for almost two hours. Listen to the interesting stories: You will get numerous exciting insights into the flora and fauna as well as into the culture of the inhabitants who once lived here. If you are lucky, you will catch a clear day so that you can visit the imposing viewpoint that offers a view of the Pacific region of Nicaragua, the neighboring city of Granada, as well as the Great Lakes and the islands.

After this hike, you will arrive at a biological station. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee and recover from the climb. You will fortify yourself with a delicious lunch and then you will be taken to the starting point of your canopy tour. The trained staff will help you put on the necessary equipment and explain the safety precautions so that you can safely get from one tree to another during the most exciting experience in Nicaragua.

Glide on wire ropes from one platform to the next, all attached to the huge trees several meters above the ground. Throughout the course you will be accompanied, so you can feel safe and enjoy this experience to the fullest. The incredible views and unique nature will leave you in awe, while at the same time the adrenaline will flow through your veins before each jump. Float from one tree to the next and watch everything pass by below you.

In the late afternoon you will leave for your hotel together with your guide.
