Around 8 AM, your transfer will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the south of Barahona. Your destination: the world's only larimar mine in the south of Barahona. Discovered by a local miner in 1974, the light blue gemstone can be used to make beautiful earrings, necklaces, and jewelry boxes. You're welcome to search the mine for your very own piece of larimar!

Around noon, you will be expected in a private house on the riverside for a delicious meal. Relax and enjoy a refreshing dip in a natural pool!

In the afternoon, you will set off for your next stop to a larimar jewelry artist's studio. No matter where you let your gaze wander, high cliffs, crystal clear water, and lush, tropical vegetation will accompany you on your way. Once you arrive in the studio, you will see how they process the light blue gemstone. After this enriching day, you will go back to the hotel at 4 PM.
