A discovery tour of Mahé

Your full day excursion starts early in the morning at about 8:00. You will be picked up from your hotel and the first stop of the day is at the Victoria’s colonial center, where you can visit the post office, museum, courthouse, and the famous Little Ben clock tower. For art lovers, the next stop of the day is a must. Discover the Codevar building with local handicraft and the famous Creole gold.

How about a walk along Albert Street? From here, you can reach Victoria's colorful markets, with freshly caught fish, exotic fruits and vegetables, and fragrant spices.

Your journey continues by bus over the Sans Soucis mountain pass, with a short photo stop, to a Creole restaurant where you can have lunch. After refreshments, you will visit the Jardin du Roi, a restored colonial plantation belonging to the George family - probably the oldest family in the country. According to legend, the family's roots go back to Louis XVII of France.

The rest of the day is at your free disposal. You should be back at the meeting point around 16:00, when you will be transported back to your hotel.

Pickup times and trip duration: 8:10 for hotels in the north, approx. 20 minutes; 8:30 for hotels in the east, approx. 20 minutes; 8:05 for hotels in the west, approx. 35 minutes.

• Children under 2 years of age may participate in the excursion free of charge; children from 2-11 years of age participate at a reduced rate (price on request).
