Today your safari begins at 1 PM! Prepare yourself for a different climate because of the area's tropical circles. You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Shimba Hills National Reserve (about 50 minutes from Mombasa's south coast). Once you arrive in Shimba Hills National Park, you will embark on your first game drive. The reserve is famous for its horses, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, leopards, colobus monkeys, meerkats, and baboons. Stop at the Sheldrick Falls and take a short hike down to the pools. Don't forget to wear appropriate shoes because you will be hiking for about 2 hours.
At the end of your game drive, you will be taken to Shimba Hills Lodge, the only tree lodge on the Kenyan coast. Your accommodation is right by a water hole where thirsty animals gather for a drink.
