Cyprus - adventure with 4WD car

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and start a day full of adrenaline and action. Remember to bring sturdy shoes, a camera, appropriate clothing for climbing and hiking, as well as a swimsuit to enjoy a cool down in nice weather.

The drive will take you to the wild Akamas Peninsula, a haven for over 160 species of animals and plants. Due to the rough terrain, this region can only be explored with an off-road vehicle. Buckle up and hold on tight: The fast-paced drive over the dusty dirt roads can shake you up quite a bit.

The first stop is the four-kilometer Avakas Gorge, which will take your breath away. It is considered one of the most impressive natural wonders of Cyprus, owing its name (“Egg Gorge”) to the many birds that breed there. Experience the famous limestone precipices that form a natural tunnel. After a short briefing, you will hike through the canyon, from where you can repeatedly observe goats searching for grass above you - a true nature experience.

After a short breather, the next stop is Lara Bay. This beautiful bay is home to green sea turtles, which are under strict protection. A very special natural spectacle takes place here from June to August in particular: The turtles nest at this time and you can visit their nesting sites until October, before the hatchlings make their way into the sea.

Afterwards, it's time for refreshments. But before you enjoy a traditional lunch in a restaurant, don't miss the opportunity to make a photo stop at the Akamas viewpoint. Experience a beautiful view of the sea and the varied landscapes of the region here.

Fortified by your meal lunch, the drive continues to Latchi - more specifically, to the Baths of Aphrodite. Legend has it that the water of this small stream between rocks, trees and dense bushes has magical powers and provides eternal youth.

You will get to know the rustic nature of this special island during the subsequent visit to a local village. Here you will visit a typical Cypriot coffee house and immerse yourself in the world of culture and traditional manufacturing. Make the most of your free time here to go swimming and end the day relaxed.

At the end, you will be transported back to the hotel.
