The Deep Blue Hotel is hidden on the small island of Providencia. The maritime furnished rooms, the sound of the sea and the turquoise blue water have made the hotel a popular destination for all travelers who love the special for years now. The sea around the Deep Blue is also called "Sea of Seven Colours", because the blue spectrum here is particularly diverse. Creole culture is strongly noticeable here and exudes an unmistakable flair and pure joie de vivre.
The hotel is located directly in Maracaibo Bay with a great view of the Caribbean Sea. In the background of the hotel blooms a lush green tropical forest - a refuge for those seeking peace and quiet.
You can reach the hotel by plane or by catamaran from San Andres Island. About 500 miles separate you from the Colombian mainland. Although the island is only about 200 km from the coast of Nicaragua, politically it belongs to Colombia. The city center is 5 minutes away.
The hotel was renovated in 2012 and presents itself fresh and maritime with that certain "something something". The special flair of the house is also exuded by the service staff, who read your every wish from your eyes.
International delicacies with a certain Caribbean touch are served in the restaurant - if you wish, the food can also be served outside on the terrace, where you can enjoy the view. Breakfast consists of fresh fruits as well as homemade bread, egg dishes and other delicious regional dishes. If relaxing by the infinity pool is not enough for you and you feel like exploring, you can have a private tour by boat organized upon request. You can also take part in hikes through the jungle, dives to the third longest reef in the world as well as buggy tours - there is no better way to get to know the surroundings. Kayaking equipment can be used free of charge, so you can paddle along the coast at your own pace. A sun deck over the sea invites you to sunbathe. The free shuttle will take you to your desired beach each morning. Please note that due to the hotel's secluded location, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. However, you are welcome to use the internet in the public areas.
The 12 rooms have a fantastic panoramic view of the sea. A minibar, flat-screen TV, bathroom and hot water are among the amenities in the rooms. Some of the rooms also have a terrace, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the open sea.
In total, you can choose between five room categories: Deluxe, Ocean View Deluxe, Junior Suite, Jacuzzi Suite and Luxury Suites. The facilities in the respective categories are similar, but the differences here are mainly in the size of the rooms. The Jacuzzi Suites have a Jacuzzi, which opens a wonderful view to the terrace. In the Junior Suites you will find an additional seating area as well as a great view of the sea and the greenery. The Luxury Suites have additional comfortable sun loungers on the balcony and a 40 cm deep plunge pool overlooking the ocean.
