Candidasa - Ubud - Lovina - Seminyak

In the warmer months, from May to August, Bali is at its best. During the rainy season (from November to March), short and heavy showers occur more often, mainly in the afternoon. The sea water offers consistently pleasant temperatures all year round.

Upon arrival in Denpasar, you will meet with your local guide and be transferred to Candidasa, two hours away, in Karangasem, Bali's eastern province.

After check-in, spend the rest of the day as you wish. Your vacation has begun! Unpack your swimwear and enjoy the gentle breeze on the beach.

Denpasar Airport - Candidasa trip duration: 67 km / approx. 2.5 hours

2-night stay at Puri Bagus Candidasa**** with breakfast in a Deluxe Sea View Room, Candidasa, Bali

PREMIUM option: 2 nights at Alila Manggis***** with breakfast in a Deluxe Room, Candidasa, Bali

After a relaxing first night in Bali, you will explore the equally unknown but just as beautiful province of Karangasem.

First on the program is Taman Ujung. The elaborately restored water palace is surrounded by a pond and can only be reached via a bridge. Tirta Gangga, the "Water of the Ganges", is only a short drive away. The sacred water palace presents itself to you with numerous decorative ponds and fountains, lush green plants and natural pools.

A delicious Balinese lunch awaits you afterwards at Bali Asli.

In the afternoon, you have the choice (optional): An easy hike through the evergreen rice fields? Or would you prefer a swim under the sun?

If you choose the more active option, your guide will take you on an easy two-hour hike through the rice fields to Tenganan. This village is one of the oldest in Bali and is inhabited by Bali's indigenous people, the Bali Aga.

Alternatively, enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the tropical beach of Pasir Putih. Make yourself comfortable on a sun lounger and sample fresh coconut water while listening to the gentle ocean waves. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel in Candidasa.

Candidasa - Taman Ujung, Karangasem trip duration: 9 km / approx. 20 minutes

Taman Ujung, Karangasem - Tenganan trip duration: 12 km / approx. 25 minutes

Another day awaits you! After check-out today, you will devote yourself to exploring everyday life in Bali. Equipped with a cone hat and a bamboo stick, you will go on a one-hour hike through the rice fields. Afterwards, you will prove your skills as a Balinese farmer. Grow rice and steer the cows with their plow through the fields. After helping out, you will be served a fresh coconut with coconut water.

During three short workshops (20 minutes each), you can dive deeper into the life of the Balinese. You will learn how to decorate palm leaves for offerings, how to make arak (a clear, unsweetened anise liquor) and of course, how to cook the Balinese way.

After a Balinese lunch in the village, you will visit the famous Besakih Temple, known as the "Mother Temple" of Bali. It is located on the western slopes of Mount Agung, Bali's highest volcano (2,567 m).

After an eventful day, you will drive to Ubud, where you will spend the next two nights, in the evening.

Candidasa - Sidemen trip duration: 42 km / approx. 1.5 hours

Sidemen - Besakih trip duration: 22 km / approx. 45 minutes

2 nights at the Bebek Tepi Sawah Villas and Spa**** with breakfast included in a Batuan Villa, Ubud, Bali

PREMIUM travel option: 2 nights at Maya Ubud***** with breakfast in a Superior Room, Ubud, Bali

Today is dedicated to the artistic and cultural center of Bali - Ubud! Discover the countless treats the city has to offer: Prestigious museums, historic palaces, markets with exotic goods as well as galleries, studios and handicraft workshops reveal themselves to you in this little slice of paradise nestled in the midst of lush green rice terraces.

Start with a visit to the ARMA Museum and marvel at one of the best collections of Balinese and Indonesian paintings. At Monkey Forest, hold on tight to your camera and sunglasses. The cheeky, mischievous macaques are at least as interested in you as you are in them! Built in the 16th century, the Royal Palace is in the heart of the city and still serves as the official residence of Ubud's royal family.

Your morning excursion is rounded off with a walk through the Ubud Market, one of the most beautiful of its kind in Bali. Ubud Market is a living example of the idea that "there is nothing that does not exist": Here, you will find everything from fruits and vegetables, fish and meat to clothing, handicrafts, wood carvings and jewelry - everything your heart desires, and probably more.

Lunch will be served at Indus Restaurant, one of the city's best, with breathtaking views over the Tjampuhan River Valley.

In the afternoon, put your feet up and keep your eyes closed! Take a break from your activities and enjoy a one-hour Balinese massage.

Time to open those eyes again! Relax and enjoy the evening with a dance performance in a nearby village. After all, no trip to Bali is complete without seeing one of its most important traditions.

Last but not least, your taste buds should not be neglected today: The Bridges, a gourmet restaurant that will pamper your palate with exquisite specialties, wraps up this eventful day.

Today you will leave Ubud. After check-out, your guide will take you to the royal Taman Ayun temple in Mengwi. Take a look at the fancy, multi-story roof structures. But be careful not to fall into the huge fish pond while marveling!

Continue on to the "Rice Grain Chamber." Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the rice terraces of Jatiluwih will captivate you with panoramic views of iconic beauty. Enjoy the unique scenery while walking through the rice fields. A delicious lunch will be served to you at a local restaurant.

Next, today’s journey will take you north to Lake Bratan. Situated amidst the calm waters, you might think that the Ulun Danu Temple located there is floating in the air. But don't worry, even though we are testing your senses on this trip, this is just a magical illusion.

Your journey continues to Lovina. On the way there, you will pass two stunning crater lakes: Tamblingan and Buyan. Your driver will stop in between so you can capture the unique scenery before arriving in Lovina in the early evening.

For the late risers among you, today you get to sleep in if you want. Spend the morning as you wish. The black sand of Lovina beach is a few steps and waits for you. With a bit of luck, you will get to watch dolphins, which cavort around here from time to time.

Around noon, your driver will pick you up and take you to the south of the island. Along a panoramic road you will drive past several small villages, as the landscape shifts between dense jungle, imposing mountain scenery and lush green rice terraces.

In the late afternoon, you will reach Tanah Lot. Bali's most famous temple was built on a small island in the sea, about 100 meters off the coast. Watch as the sun slowly disappears into the sea, tinging the spectacular scenery in various shades of red.

After sunset, today’s itinerary is over.
