On this 10-day round trip, you'll discover Nepal's colorful capital, Kathmandu, before embarking on your unforgettable adventure. Along traditional mountain villages and through dense rhododendron forests, you will hike to Poon Hill and enjoy an impressive color spectacle at sunrise.

The best time for trekking to Poon Hill is the periods of October and November and March and April. It’s the dry season and the temperature is pleasantly warm.

Start an unforgettable adventure today. You will land at the international airport of Kathmandu and after baggage claim you will be welcomed by a representative of our partner agency. You will reach your first accommodation by transfer.

Use the time to get used to the altitude and the time zone change. Depending on your arrival time, the afternoon is yours to explore on your own. Stroll through the lively streets and immerse yourself in a completely different world. A walking tour will give you a first glimpse of Nepal's capital.

Kathmandu Airport - Kathmandu Hotel: 6 km / approx. 20 minutes

After strengthening yourself with the rich breakfast at your hotel, today you will get to know the most important sights of the capital. The first destination of your sightseeing tour is the popular Durbar Square, also known as the historical center of Kathmandu. Over 50 pagodas and numerous temples await you here. Take in the everyday life before continuing on to the Swayambhunath Stupa. Situated on a hill in the northwest of the city, this temple is not only one of the oldest sanctuaries of the valley, but is also considered one of the landmarks of the city. When the weather is good, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Kathmandu from here.

After a short breather, you will continue your tour in the afternoon and visit the city of Patan, about five kilometers away. A highlight of your visit is the Patan Durbar Square, which is similar to the Kathamandu Durbar Square with impressive temples and pagodas.

With numerous photos in your luggage, you will then return to your hotel.

Today your trekking adventure gets one day closer. You will leave Nepal's capital and head to Pokhara. Pokhara is the third largest city in Nepal and is located in the middle of the country at the famous Phewa Lake. Due to its location, Pokhara is the starting point for numerous trekking tours. During the afternoon you will move into your room at your accommodation. Get some rest and make yourself comfortable. Optionally, you can take a boat trip on the picturesque Phewa Lake. With a view of the imposing mountains in the background, your anticipation for the coming trekking days will surely build.

Kathmandu - Pokhara: approx. 200 km / approx. 6 hours

1 night at White Pearl**** with breakfast in Standard Room, Pokhara, Nepal

Fortify yourself with a hearty breakfast at your hotel before your driver takes you to the starting point of your trekking tour in Nayapul. You will meet the escort team and slowly follow the trail uphill. You will walk along the Modi River and reach vast green fields.

After about four hours you will reach Tirkhedhunga and the hardest part of your trek begins. You will climb a stone staircase with 3,767 steps to an altitude of about 1,540 meters. The effort will be worth it: you will be rewarded with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. You will pass meadows, forests and small villages and eventually reach the village of Ulleri, considered the home of the Magar people, the largest ethnic group in Nepal.

Pokhara - Nayapul trip: 45 km / about 1.5 hours

Nayapul - Ulleri trip: about 5 - 6 hours

After breakfast, you will continue hiking uphill until you reach the small village of Banthanti. From now on, the trail is gently hilly, passing through fabulous rhododendron forests with moss-covered stones and large roots. You will stop for a warm lunch at the village of Nangathanti. Then it's uphill again. You will cross several small rivers and reach your destination, the lively mountain village of Ghorepani at an altitude of 2,860 meters, in the late afternoon.

Today you will get up early. Before breakfast, hike for about an hour to the 3,210-meter peak of Poon Hill to marvel at the sunrise. Wear warm clothes and make yourself comfortable at the top. The rising sun gradually turns the white peaks of Annapurna and other Himalayan giants different shades of red. A unique color spectacle is created. Take in the spectacle and enjoy the view. With great photos, you will then return to Ghorepani and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

On your way to Tadapani, you will cross dense rhododendron forests and pass through small villages. In the village of Banthanti you will take a rest and enjoy a hot lunch. During the afternoon you will reach Tadapani, a small village on a hillside offering picturesque views of the mountains. You will check into a simple accommodation and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Ghorepani - Tadapani: about 5 - 5,5 hours

Today's hike from Tadapani to Ghandruk takes about four hours and leads downhill through dense forests. Ghandruk is located at 1,950 meters above sea level and is one of the largest Gurung villages in the Annapurna region of Nepal. In the afternoon, you will have time to relax and explore the village on your own. Visit the Annapurna Conservation Museum and relax with a hot cup of tea.

For the evening, we have organized something very special for you. You will get an insight into the culture of the local people and watch them performing traditional dances.

Tadapani - Ghandruk: approx. 3,5 - 4,5 hours

Campsite altitude: 1.950 m

1 night in a Tea House with full board, Ghandruk, Nepal

Slip into your hiking boots for the last time on this trip. Today you will cover the last part of your trekking tour. This section will be downhill. You will leave Ghandruk and walk across terraced fields and past traditional villages back to Nayapul. After about five hours, you will reach the starting point of your trekking tour and will be transferred back to Pokhara by your driver.

Ghandruk - Nayapul: approx. 5 - 5,5 hours

Nayapul - Pokhara: 45 km / approx. 1.5 hours

1 night at the Hotel White Pearl**** with breakfast in Standard Room, Pokhara, Nepal

After breakfast at your hotel, you will depart for Kathmandu. You can spend the rest of the day as you wish. Stroll through the lively capital for the last time and visit one or the other sight that you still absolutely want to see.

Today the last day of your trip has begun. Depending on the departure time, you will be transferred to the international airport of Kathmandu. In the heart of Kathmandu, the cozy boutique hotel Rama Inn welcomes you. The 24 rooms are air-conditioned and feature luxurious amenities. These include an LCD TV, a telephone, an electric kettle and a private bathroom. Start the day with an international breakfast buffet at The Cafe MINI. Kathmandu Airport is about 20 minutes from your hotel.

White Pearl Hotel, Pokhara, Nepal (2 nights)

Located near Phewa Lake, this accommodation exudes a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. Rooms are modernly furnished and offer either mountain or lake views. In your room, you'll find a desk, a minibar, an LED TV, and coffee and tea facilities. Internet is available free of charge. The restaurant serves authentic local dishes as well as delicacies from Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines. A popular meeting place in the evening is the bar. Here you can enjoy delicious cocktails, a glass of wine or a mature whisky.

Tea House, Nepal (4 nights)

During your trekking trip, you will stay in simple Nepalese-style accommodations. The huts are very simple and often only have single beds. Generally there is running water in all huts. A hot shower as well as charging stations for cell phones and cameras are available for a fee (to be paid on site).
