Denis Private Island

Denis Private Island is about 1.5 km² and is located north of Seychelles. In about 30 minutes, the island can be easily reached from the main island, Mahé, by helicopter or seaplane. The densely overgrown island is home to some rare bird species as well as the also very rare giant tortoises.

Even the arrival by helicopter or seaplane is an adventure in and of itself. A small airstrip for propeller planes supplies the island daily with goods from the main island and divides the island. The hotel’s farm grows fruits, vegetables, and herbs and farms animals. Thus, most high-quality gastronomy products are already available on the island. There is no fresher and more sustainable way to eat in Seychelles, not to mention the exquisite taste.

On the Nature Walk, all interested guests get to know the flora and fauna of the island up close. Being one with nature is an important theme on the island. WiFi, for example, is only available in the library; guests are encouraged to consciously focus on what’s happening on-site and unwind. A small boutique, TV and game room, and babysitting services are also available for guests.

The 25 private bungalows are in the northwestern part of the island, partly on the beach, partly in a secluded lush palm grove. All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar, tea and coffee making equipment, and hairdryer, and are furnished with quality wooden furniture.

Beach Cottage — 90 m², set amidst tropical vegetation, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and feature an outdoor bathroom and sun terrace. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (0-11 years old).

Deluxe Beach Cottage — 110 m², same facilities as Beach Cottage but additionally with a small garden, direct beach access, and day beds. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (0-11 years old).

Beachfront Spa Cottage — 150 m², same facilities as Deluxe Beach Cottage, but additionally with a sun deck and separate massage area. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (0-11 years old).

Beach Villa — 325 m², located directly on the beach, has a large bedroom, a separate living room, an outdoor bathroom, a spacious outdoor area with a pool, a gazebo with a day bed, and a private spa and massage area. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (0-11 years old)

Gourmets can expect authentic delicacies at the hotel’s restaurant. They serve international as well as typical Creole cuisine, grilled meat and fish specialties, fresh seafood, and a large selection of fruits and vegetables from the hotel farm. During theme nights and barbecue events, guests will experience the country’s culinary diversity. You can also enjoy delicious cocktails, refreshing juices, or even a tasty cigar at the bar.

The hotel offers a wide range of water and land activities. On Denis Private Island, you can choose from windsurfing, snorkeling, canoeing, sailing, fishing, tennis, table tennis, billiards, and much more. You can look forward to guided dives thanks to the on-site PADI diving school. In the waters around the island, divers and snorkelers will find what are probably the best spots in Seychelles. You can see dolphins, manta rays, and whale sharks between September and October.

Guests staying at the Beachfront Spa Cottages and the Beach Villa can enjoy massages in their villa.
