Denis Private Island

Denis Private Island is about 1.5 km² in size and is located to the north of the Seychelles. In about 30 minutes, the island can be easily reached from the main island, Mahé, by helicopter or seaplane. The densely overgrown island is home to some rare bird species as well as the also very rare giant tortoises.

Even the arrival by helicopter or seaplane is an adventure in and of itself. The island is divided by a small airstrip for propeller planes, which supply the island daily with goods from the main island. The hotel's own farm grows fruits and vegetables and herbs, but also keeps animals. Thus, most of the fresh produce for the high-quality gastronomy is already available on the island. There is no fresher and more sustainable way to eat in the Seychelles, not to mention the exquisite taste.

On the Forest walk, all interested guests get to know the flora and fauna of the island up close. This closeness to nature is one of the most important themes on the island. Wi-Fi, for example, is only available in the library; guests are encouraged to consciously focus on what's happening on site and unwind. A small boutique, TV and game room, and babysitting services are also available for guests.

The total of only 22 private bungalows are located in the northwestern part of the island, partly directly on the beach, partly a little secluded in the lush palm grove. All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, and hairdryer, and are simply furnished with quality wooden furniture.

Beach Cottage - 90 m², set amidst tropical vegetation, just a stone's throw from the beach and feature an outdoor bathroom and sun terrace. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (0-11 years old).

Deluxe Beach Cottage - 110 m², same facilities as Beach Cottage but additionally with small garden, direct beach access and day beds. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (0-11 years old).

Beachfront Spa Cottage - 150 m², same facilities as Deluxe Beach Cottage, but additionally with sun deck and separate massage area. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (0-11 years old).

Beach Villa - 325 m², located directly on the beach, the Beach Villa offers a large bedroom as well as a separate living room, an outdoor bathroom as well as a spacious outdoor area with pool, gazebo with day bed and a private spa and massage area. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children (0-11 years old)

Gourmets can expect real delicacies in the hotel’s restaurant. In the style of international as well as typical Creole cuisine, grilled meat and fish specialties, fresh seafood, and a large selection of fruits and vegetables from the hotel's own cultivation are served. Guests are introduced to the country's culinary diversity in the form of theme nights and barbecue events. At the bar you can also enjoy delicious cocktails, refreshing juices or even a good cigar.

The hotel offers a wide range of water and land activities. On Denis Private Island, you can choose from windsurfing, snorkeling, canoeing, sailing, fishing, tennis, table tennis, billiards and much more. You will also be well looked after on guided dives thanks to the on-site PADI diving school. In the waters around the island, divers and snorkelers will find what are probably the best spots in the Seychelles. Between September and October, dolphins, manta rays and even whale sharks can be seen here.
