It's easy to get that perfect shot in a place like this.
Experience one of the most fascinating natural phenomena in the world
Create unforgettable memories
Authentic breakfast in a hacienda and lunch at the end of the tour.
A setting with glistening sand, bright pink water, and white mountains sound like something out of a fairytale. Believe it or not, this place exists.
This day tour will take you to this Mexican gem on the Yucatán Peninsula.
The day will start with breakfast at an authentic hacienda on the way to the Pink Lakes.
Las Coloradas is a fishing village tucked away on the northern coast of the Yucatán peninsula, where time seems to standstill.
The lakes in Las Coloradas owe their unusual coloration to the presence of plankton, algae, and Artemia salina - a species of brine shrimp that pigments the water by releasing various bacteria. The more water evaporates in the lake, the higher the salt concentration. The pink hue of the water indicates that the salt content is at its highest.
You will find a total of 19 artificial lagoons, each about 80 cm deep, from which about 15 tons of salt are extracted every six months. They are surrounded by salt mountains that look like misplaced snow-capped hills. If you look at the sand, you will see it sparkle with salt particles.
Pink flamingos are another attraction in the lakes. Their feathers are pink due to the saltwater crayfish they consume from the lake!
Afterward, you will board a boat and drive through a mangrove area. At the end of the tour, we will serve you lunch in a small village with a magnificent lagoon view.
