Embark on an unforgettable experience in South Africa’s ocean: shark cage diving with great whites! Encounter a variety of six to seven-metre sharks underwater and dive off the boat in a secured cage. As your adrenaline rises, discover why great white sharks are one of the most dangerous ocean predators, but also one of the most fascinating sea creatures to see up close.
Aboard your boat for the day, sail out to sea a few miles from the coast. This location is where you’ll have the best chance to see great white sharks up close.
Drive the scenic route from Cape Town to Gansbaai and enjoy a breakfast at White Shark Projects Lodge before departing for Dyer Island and Geyser Rock. When your boat arrives at its destination, venture underwater to spot some great white sharks. After the cage and the bait are in the water, it’s your turn. The crew is happy to answer questions about the ocean’s most dangerous predator! Don’t forget your underwater camera because these are photo opportunities you won’t want to miss. As soon as a shark is sighted, the cage will drop into the water next to these fascinating animals. Please note: as the sharks are wild animals, the tour cannot guarantee a sighting.
For lunch, enjoy a picnic on bard the board where you can warm up with a bowl of hot soup.
