Welcome to Bali! Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up and take you to Sanur on the east coast of Bali.

Sanur has a perfect balance of busier areas, like Nusa Dua, and quieter spots in the north, like Kuta. The family-friendly area boasts tranquil stretches of beach where breakwaters guarantee safe areas for swimming. A variety of restaurants and bars complete the offer.

After checking into your room, the rest of the day is at your leisure. Your vacation has begun! Unpack your bathing suit and enjoy the gentle beach breeze.

3 nights with breakfast in Sanur, Bali

On the second day of your Bali trip, we planned a tour to Nusa Lembongan for you and the kids! You can look forward to crystal clear water, white sandy beaches, and a fascinating underwater world.

Nusa Lembongan is a small island just 30 minutes away from Bali and is the perfect place for a day trip. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and take you to Sanur Harbour. After crossing over to Nusa Lembongan, hop in a small boat and explore a mangrove forest and a sunken ruin. Snorkeling equipment will be available for you to explore the colorful underwater world!

At the end of the tour, you will visit the famous Dream Beach. The name speaks for itself — the dreamy view will take your breath away. Another highlight is Devil’s Tears, a rocky cover that gets its name from the mesmerizing display of force when huge waves continually slam against the rocks. Then, a spray falls back into the sea, known as ‘Devil’s Tears.’

At the end of this eventful day, your boat will take you back to Bali.

Spend your third day in Sanur as you wish! Explore the area around Sanur, and relax by the hotel pool or on the beach.

Alternatively, we have prepared an optional waterfall tour for you. There are many waterfalls in Bali waiting to be discovered! We will take you to two of these sparkling attractions with a private driver.

Your first stop is at Tibumana Waterfall: a 10-minute walk from the parking lot, along a coconut palm-lined path, will lead you to this hidden gem. It nestles in the jungle and is a popular photo spot, especially on Instagram.

Driving time Sanur – Timbumana Waterfall: approx. 1 hour / 34 km

Driving time Timbumana Waterfall – Kanto Lampo Waterfall: approx. 15 minutes / 5 km

Driving time Kanto Lampo Waterfall - Sanur: Approx. 45 minutes / 28 km

Next, visit the Kanto Lampo Waterfall, known locally as Air Terjun Kanto Lampo. Its high rock wall has different-sized stones that the water cascades down. The name comes from the tree that grows around the waterfall, and it has unique fruit that first turns yellow, then green, and finally red.

Today you will leave Sanur and drive to Ubud. In Bali's artistic and cultural center, you will discover its countless charms. Historical palaces, markets with exotic goods, exciting museums and studios, and handicraft workshops reveal themselves to you in this small paradise amid lush green rice terraces.

After checking in at your hotel, we will have three main attractions planned for you in the afternoon:

Be sure to hold onto your sunglasses and camera in Monkey Forest. The cheeky macaques that roam this downtown forest at as interested in you as you are in them! The Royal Palace is the central landmark of the city. Constructed in the 16th century, it is still home to Ubud’s royal family — the well-preserved architecture and manicured gardens will charm you. You’ll end today’s excursion with a short walk along the Campuhan Ridge Walk. The path takes you past jungles and forests and is a popular sunset spot for the locals. At the trail's end, have fun on the bamboo swing and enjoy the view.

Driving time Sanur - Ubud: approx. 1 hour / approx. 25 km

4 nights with breakfast in Ubud, Bali

Chances are you’ve seen the Tegalalang Rice Terraces in photos before! And today, we will drive you to this popular viewpoint. According to history, the traditional irrigation system developed by the saint Rsi Markandeya in the 8th century is still in use today! There are numerous places for unforgettable photos through the rice fields. The rice farmers are happy to pose for your photo motifs for a small donation.

After this leisurely and atmospheric start to the day, we have another adventure planned for you!

Very close to the Tegalalang Rice Terraces is the Parkeisan River, which is great for river tubing! This activity is for all ages because you can slowly glide down the river and past the stunning jungle. After 1.5 hours and about 4.5 kilometers, you will reach your destination, where your driver awaits you.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to organize as you wish! Your driver is at your disposal until the evening.

Our tip for families: visit the Pondok Pekak Library. It was initially a place of learning for expat children and was founded in 1995. Today, you can participate in fruit carving courses. Wood carving and fruit carving are two art forms unique to Bali.

Driving time Ubud – days long rice terraces: approx. 20 minutes / approx. 10 km

After breakfast, your driver will take you to Rumah Desa Village in Tabanan, where you’ll immerse yourself in everyday Balinese life. Stroll through the village and learn about different recipes of Balinese cuisine in a professionally guided cooking class.

After lunch in the village, take a bike ride past smaller villages and paddy fields. Along the way, explore tropical plants used by farmers for medicinal purposes and learn about Balinese culture and traditions.

In the afternoon, drive back to Ubud.

Driving time Ubud – Rumah Desa Village: approx. 1 hour / approx. 30 km each way

Today we have planned three excursion destinations for you. You can look forward to culinary delicacies, exotic plants, and ancient temples!

But first things first: your first stop is the Cau Chocolate Factory. Amid the green fields, this factory has made delicious organic chocolates since 2014. After a welcome drink, go on a tour of the area and meet the farmers who independently grow the crops and ferment the cocoa beans. Finally, visit the factory and see how the raw beans are made into chocolate bars and pralines. You can try the delicacies at the end of the tour, buy them, and even make them yourself!

Tabanan Botanical Garden is your next stop! The park opened in 1959 and is now home to around 2,000 different plant species on over 160 hectares. You can look forward to an exciting stay surrounded by nature.

Nearby is your final destination for today: Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple. The vital water temple nestles in the mountain in central Bali at an altitude of 1200 meters directly on Lake Bratan, whose water is considered sacred. Lake Bratan, created from a former volcanic crater, is Bali's significant drinking water reservoir.
