  1. Dominican Republic

For once, getting up early in the morning will be worth it.

At 8 AM, your journey to the 375 km² of the salt lake known as Lago Enriquillo will begin. Past the desert-like landscape, you will find the statue of Dominican national hero, Enriquillo, for a short photo stop, as well as visit the well-preserved Taino caves of Las Caritas in the southwest of the Dominican Republic.

Don't forget your hiking boots! Climb the cave's steep steps and admire impressive stone carvings of the natives on the way. Don't forget to pack your camera so you can always remember this magnificent view over Lake Enriquillo, home to the largest colony of American crocodiles, rare rhinos, and white-tailed iguanas. The national park is also home to over 100 unique plant species.

Go on an exciting boat trip in search of these impressive reptiles and, with a little luck, catch a glimpse of the pink flamingo colony - an excellent opportunity for photography enthusiasts. Your extraordinary adventure ends around 4 PM.
